Are you independent of damp-proofing companies?
We don’t sell or install damp-proofing treatments. You pay for an investigation and written recommendations, and you can choose who carries out any recommended work.
Who will carry out the inspection?
Technical inspections may be carried out by appropriately experienced and insured independent specialist subcontractors. We confirm the appointed inspector, relevant experience, insurance arrangements and agreed scope before you book.
Are the inspections insured?
We confirm the applicable professional indemnity and public liability insurance arrangements before accepting a booking. Where a specialist subcontractor is appointed, their cover must be suitable for the agreed work. Ask for the relevant details with your quote.
What does the £299 damp survey include?
An inspection of agreed areas, relevant moisture readings, an assessment of likely causes, photographs and a written report with recommendations. This is the standard-scope service; larger properties or complex issues may need a tailored quote. We agree this before booking.
Will you diagnose rising damp from a meter reading?
No single reading is treated as a complete diagnosis. Findings are considered alongside the visible condition, moisture patterns and building context. Where the evidence is inconclusive, the report will explain the uncertainty and any recommended further investigation.
Is this a structural survey or a home report?
No. This is a focused damp and moisture investigation, not a structural survey, Scottish Home Report, valuation or invasive inspection. Destructive opening-up, laboratory testing and specialist timber investigations are not included unless specifically agreed.
When will I receive the report?
Visit availability and report turnaround are confirmed in your quote before booking. Tell us if you have a purchase deadline or urgent tenancy concern so we can advise whether the service can meet your timescale.
Do I need to pay when I enquire?
No. The form requests a quote and does not make a booking or take payment. You’ll receive the scope, total price, availability and booking terms before deciding whether to proceed.
